BAND OF THE WEEK: Bestiarii

Bestiarii

Every week at Orlando Music News, the site highlights a local band or artist. A good local band or artist. This week, a band that I absolutely cannot believe didn’t make the OMNi Awards nomination cut for being one of the Best Live Bands in Orlando, Bestiarii.

Bestiarii plays the Peacock Room on Tuesday, July 12, with Howling Owls and That’s Black.

Five Questions:

1) What has been your most memorable show so far?

Orange You Glad Fest. The minute we were about to start playing they called for the party bus and everyone left.

2) Which local band is your favorite one to play a show with?

Great Friend of Mine. The guys in You Blew It! are always fun to see too.

3) What description gets used for your band that you would most like to correct people on? Why?

It’s not a description, but it gets old hearing it. “Hey, do you guys need a singer?” Why? We don’t want one.

4) What’s your favorite thing about being an Orlando band? What’s your least favorite?

Favorite: Wills Pub being here.

Least: There can be a lack of support amongst some bands.

5) Any big news to share?

We’re writing some new songs and looking to record soon.
