Sigh: Scenes From Hell CD review (Revolver)

(4 out of 5)

Having pushed their way into the above-ground American metal consciousness with last year’s Venom covers, Japanese death metal group Sigh firmly makes the case here that their originals are far more deadly than their interpretations. Grandiose and aggressive tracks like “L’art de Mourir” are a far cry from “Countess Bathory,” indeed.

First appeared in the April 2010 issue of Revolver.
